Traversing the Puget Sound

My current clinical rotation is in Silverdale, WA, a solid 1hr 20 min drive on the freeway or a fun 40-min ferry ride + 30 min drive on the freeway. I will happily take ferry trips over long car drives. Luckily I don’t make this commute daily and am able to work 3-12 hour shifts consecutively and lodge with my aunt on the nights in between. For those of you that don’t know, Seattle hosts many an exquisite waterfront views, but for those of you closer to the scene, you’ll know that the best ways to gain these views is to get out on the water.

Here’s a view from the Fauntleroy ferry terminal – appropriately located less than 10 minutes from my front door.

And here’s last nights view leaving from Vashon Island.

Really a perfect way to complete a few long days in the urgent care clinic (which is going really well!).

Toodles! 🙂
